I am under two weeks away from embarking on a 2500 mile journey around the coast of England, attempting the equivalent of 18 ironman triathlons (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run) in 6 weeks by swimming, running, cycling and stand up paddling boarding.
This adventure is not only a personal challenge, but part of a charity concept I have/am developing since my Clore Emerging Leaders experience in March 2015, called ‘Giving It Back’. The plan is to travel 6 days a week, covering on average 420 miles per week, and on the 7th day volunteer in a coastal community by giving something back (i.e. dance, yoga, meditation, dance workshop, or simply volunteering), and raise money for charity.
On Monday 1st August I will be starting my adventure, crossing from Kent to Essex to head north, then crossing the Scottish border to turn left to head south.
